Josefina Baillères, Founder & CEO of JOSEFINA, New York City and Paris based fine jewelry brand.?

The Mexican high jewelry designer's love for gems stems from her parents’ background as GIA Gemologists. She was naturally drawn to the jewelry world through her parents, and began her path with the pursuit of a Graduate Gemologist diploma and CAD/CAM certificate at the GIA when she was only 19 years old. She later went on to study Fashion Product Design at Parsons School of Design and Central Saint Martins, and her MBA at the Haute école de Joaillerie and work in the high jewelry houses in Paris, allowing her to explore and continue developing her design skills.

Josefina’s designs are fueled by her fascination with colored stones and diamonds alongside the importance of impeccable craft and savoir-faire, which characterize some of her most beautiful pieces. Amongst a sea of jewelry brands, the emergence of JOSEFINA brings a young and refreshing design of classics… with a twist.?

Josefina calls her work “jewelgineering’ - a funny way to describe her vision of jewelry design. With her experience of production in high jewelry right in the heart of the craftsmanship kings - Paris - she finds it crucial to have jewelry design and engineering become one in order to craft impeccable, high quality jewelry that is creative yet perfectly engineered.??
