What is an Analytics Translator??
There are roles in data science that do not necessarily require technical skills. These are the citizen data scientist and the analytics translator roles. An analytics translator?makes sure both business and data teams understand each other. He or she knows the best of both worlds, and can speak both the business and data language to connect the two teams together.??

Participants from Southstar Drug, True Value, Handyman, Robinsons Appliances, Uncle John’s, and Toys”R”Us?started their journey to becoming future analytics translators. As the diplomats in the data team, analytics translators speak the language of data for data scientists, analysts and engineers to better grasp business context, and handle the translation of technical details and results back to the business.?
Analytics translators possess deep domain knowledge and just enough of the technical aspects of data science to discuss the solution to the data team and interpret their results. Throughout the bootcamp, learners' exercises included formulating?hypotheses?for business problems, identifying what data is needed to?address a business need, identifying the core techniques in?descriptive and diagnostic analytics, and crafting?cohesive narratives?to deliver insights.??
