Session 1: Back to Basics

Sometimes moving forward requires us to look back at history and inward within ourselves.

1. Andrew McConnell , Entrepreneur, author - believes the keys to living well in a chaotic world lay in the ancient Greek philosophy of Stoicism.
2. Susan Cohen , Entrepreneur researcher - delves into the art and science of advice: how to recognize the good and the bad.
3. Dr. Anthony Law, Laryngologist, research scientist - his ground-breaking research is forging a new frontier in laryngeal cancer detection and treatment. He believes we can all be part of this life-saving movement.
4. Rob Hardy , Film producer, director - posits that fatherhood is a team sport where the prize is a next generation of more well-rounded fathers.

Session 2: The Human Response

Our sense of agency helps us navigate conflict and change. Speakers in this session explore threats to our freedoms, possible solutions and also what's possible when we have agency.

1. Joe Bankoff , Civic leader - offers a practical path toward making government work for all of us.
2. Isabel González Whitaker , Civic engagement evangelist - takes us on her civic awakening sparked by her mother's passing and a park.
3. Sydney Scherr , Re-trafficking prevention champion - a serendipitous encounter during a vacation sparked Sydney to direct her energy to preventing child re-trafficking through a novel and practical approach that we can all be a part of.
4. Gerry Chen , Roboticist - reimagines the robot-artist relationship that could propel artistic expression to new heights.
