The Yorkshire Choice Awards recognise inspirational local people and independent businesses. The categories cover a wide range of backgrounds and skills, yet they all have one thing in common... The will to achieve. The Awards demonstrate that through adversity and courage, light can shine through in so many different ways and give the deserving nominees, finalists, and winners the exposure that is so deserving. This year, The Yorkshire Choice Awards are proud to support Simon on the Streets as their charity partner, a fantastic charity offering street-based support for those in need.

In previous years they have raised over ￡30,000 for local charities and over 2.5 million votes were cast in the 2019 nominations  By 6th December 2019 almost 92,000 votes had been cast for the 2020 awards with over a month to go before voting closes.  Why not pop along to the site and vote for your local heroes and heroines? You can check out the nominees here. There are still some tickets left for the fabulous gala awards ceremony being held on 14th March 2020 at Centenary Pavilion, Elland Road, Leeds. It will be a glamorous, glitzy and incredibly uplifting event.
