Hi Darrien!

Could you please introduce yourself?

Hey, I am Darrien, from student to accountant - and now Igniter of Titans here at finvoke. Currently a CIMA Trainee, I bring 3 years of experience in accounting, advisory, tax, and reporting to the team. My focus is on providing excellent service and adding value to our clients and their businesses. But work isn't all seriousness – I enjoy making people laugh and contributing to a positive and energetic work environment.

You're on a deserted island. What three things would you bring with you?

(1) Sunblock tops the list! I may be deserted, but I refuse to get sunburned wrinkles.

(2) Next, a portable desalination device is a must-have. (Remember to drink water today!)

(3) Finally, fishing gear. Might as well take up a new hobby.

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?

"Out of Tune" by The Backseat Lovers resonates with me. It's about reflecting on who you were, who you want to be when you're older, and enjoying the journey in between.

What motivated your choice to pursue a career in the field of accounting?

Numbers and problem-solving have always been my thing. Putting those skills to work in accounting is really rewarding. There's a satisfaction you get from solving problems this way that's hard to top. I also believe that accounting is one of the most important subjects. It's the key to understanding how businesses tick.

Why did you decide to join the finvoke team?

The challenge! I always say: "Uncomfortable is good." When I sought a new challenge, finvoke presented the perfect opportunity. I couldn't resist the chance to work with like-minded individuals who share a common goal and be part of something great, making a real impact. That's why I joined finvoke!
