Meet Erik Nilsson: Securing video meetings for Sweden's public healthcare sector

Erik Nilsson is on a mission. As Pexip’s Sales Director for Sweden's public sector for the past three years, he is well-versed in the country’s strict #security requirements to protect people and information, as well as their preference to store sensitive information within Sweden’s borders.

These expectations proved to be right up Pexip’s alley.

One of the biggest challenges that Erik and the local team tackled was to secure the meetings for Sweden’s public healthcare sector. The country is divided into 21 regions and each region has its own health agency. These agencies use an electronic health record (EHR) system, and they needed a video meeting solution that was not only secure but could be integrated into their system seamlessly.

“Sweden has some of the strictest privacy and security requirements. At Pexip, we saw an opportunity to not only ensure the security and data sovereignty of their healthcare information, but also to make it easier for all the employees in healthcare to stick to just one system to manage both health data and day-to-day video meetings,” explains Erik.

So far, Pexip has secured meetings for more than 50 percent of Sweden’s regional health agencies. With privacy and security requirements only getting more stringent, Erik is confident that Pexip will continue to meet the evolving needs of the Swedish public sector.
