We caught up with Eileen Adamson, Money Coach and experienced speaker and workshop leader delivering financial education in a variety of exciting way:
What’s the one piece of financial advice you’d give your 18-year-old self?
I can't narrow it down to one, so I've gone for two!
1. Work out what makes you happiest and figure out how you can earn a living around that. 2. Start learning about the power of compound interest! Google it!
What’s your favourite thing about being a financial coach?
I love hearing and seeing the transformations in people's lives when they work with me.
They start off thinking it's only about money, but it's about much more than that. It's seeing them gain confidence in themselves as well as with money and helping them make decisions to change their lives so that they are happier and more fulfilled both now and in the future.
What is the most common question people ask you about their finances? Why does money have to be so hard?
My answer? It's because it's not really about the money, it's about confidence, self-esteem and about the stories we tell ourselves in our head. Once we work on all of those things, money suddenly seems much easier!
