Meet Dave Myers on Greater Reading Public Eye BCTV

Time and talent describe Dave Myers to a "T". Dave is the Adviser at Berks Alliance and is a member of the Reading School Board of Directors. Myers, the former Executive Director of the O'Pake Institute for Leadership, Ethics and Public Service at Alvernia University spoke with me and BCTV Homeviewers on air this month in a one-to-one interview on Greater Reading Public Eye about his career path and journey that brought him to Greater Reading. A resident of the City of Reading, Dave shared with us his current role as the Adviser at Berks Alliance and all of the community development and initiatives under way in partnership and through the Alliance. He explained the core work is through implemented strategies to build a strong, vibrant community, identifying four targets for engagement: Fostering a clean, safe, and vibrant urban core, improving the health and wealth of the community, enhancing educational attainment and workforce development, encouraging community engagement and dialogue.
