Meet Craig D'Arcy

How did you?get into the world of engineering?

I always had a passion for technical drawing and maths at school, which is fundamental in the world of engineering, so that steered me towards that as a career. My dad was also an architectural technologist, so I had insight into the world of architecture and building design from a young age and that influenced me to choose structural engineering over others.

What is the best advice you've ever received?

I recently heard the advice “Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind”, which I found very helpful.

What is your go-to office beverage?

Coffee is my go-to. I like a lot of milk so the team in the office often refer to my drink as ‘baby coffee’.

Tell us something we don't know about you.

I have two young children, both boys, and I love to spend time with them at the weekend, whether it is going out for adventures in the forest or staying home and playing toys!
