My wife would say any job that involves DIY!

What do you wish you knew more about?

DIY!

What is the best way to start the day?

A good coffee and a hug from my daughter.

Where is the most interesting place you've been?

Ubud, Indonesia. The scenery is unmatched and has such a diverse art and food scene.

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way?

Meeting in person, rather than Teams/zoom or phone calls. Nothing can substitute for face-to-face interactions.

How do you relax after a hard day at work?

I’m an avid runner, whether it’s road or trail running, however I like to balance that out with cooking good Italian food.

What job do you think you'd be really good at?

Asset Based Lending, of course!

What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?

I’d love to go on a safari with my family, either to Tanzania or Namibia.

What is the most impressive thing you know how to do?

I spend a lot of time mountain climbing and have self-guided groups of climbers up many European peaks.

What could you give a 40-minute presentation on, with absolutely no preparation?

Probably on the Himalayan Mountain ranges and routes, that or WW2 maritime history.

What hobby would you get into if time and money weren't an issue?

I love to ski so if money weren’t an issue, I’d love to give heli-skiing a go!

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Visit New England; I’ve been blown away by the beauty of these States!

If you were dictator of a small island nation, what crazy dictator stuff would you do?

I’d like to think I would be more of a benevolent dictator, so maybe implement something to cheer everyone up, like happy hour.

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?

It would have to be mountaineering however since moving to America I’d rate myself to join a national cornhole team!

What irrational fear do you have?

We’ve heard there are often sightings of bears in our neighborhood. I’m not sure I’d want to come across one of those!

What would be your spirit animal?

A snow leopard, or anything that copes well at altitude.

What is something you will NEVER do again?

Be helicoptered off the top of Mont Blanc in an ice storm, here’s hoping!

What was the most memorable gift you've received?

My wife bought me a signed first edition of Edmund Hillary’s autobiography; he's a hero of mine.

What's the best and worst thing about getting older?

Personally I just think things get better when you get older!
