Meet Central Europe - call for papers

Four members of the EUATC have joined forces to create Meet Central Europe, a language industry event which will take place in Budapest 30 - 31 October.

The organisers are targeting four key audiences:

• Vendor and Project Managers seeking expert advice on how to best recruit, manage and retain top linguistic talent
• Anybody encountering resource issues and wanting to learn how to overcome or avoid them in the first place
• Anyone seeking to find new Central and Eastern European linguistic partners
• Central European translation providers looking to expand their markets

The event's collaborators are Proford, the Hungarian Association of Professional Language Service Providers, the Austrian Association of Translation Companies, the Association of Czech Translation Agencies and the Association of translation Companies of Slovakia. Additionally, Croatia is being featured as a 'spotlight' country for the inaugural conference with the Croatian Association of Translation Agencies, another EUATC member, actively supporting the new regional event.

The organising committee has just issued its first call for papers and will be looking for papers to populated a two-tracked programme aimed at companies and freelancers.

DEADLINES

The following timetable will be strictly adhered to:

• Paper submission: on 30 April 2018
• Notification of accepted papers: 14 May 2018
• Conference presentation submission: 30 days after notification of acceptance
