Meet Cathy from Everything Beautiful

We have so many GREAT people here on LinkedIn and I wanted my friends to MEET my other friends. So here is a quick 5 questions interview with my friend Cathy Corgard who owns Everything Beautiful and is my GO-TO person for finding stuff for my remodeling projects like a faucet that works with my existing stuff- SO HARD! Please enjoy.

Introduce yourself: My name is Cathy and I have been a selection designer for the past 8 years.? I started as a Procurement Specialist with a local builder and grew into a designer.? I am married with one elementary age son.? I can't imagine doing anything other than collaborating with my clients on their builds or remodel.? It brings me so much joy to you see you light up and love your new space.

What are the top five hurdles you jumped as a business owner in the last 2 years

1. The start of a Pandemic

2. Supply Chain Issues

3. Needing to have more samples on hand

4. Lack of available appointments with vendors

5. Taking care of family while trying to start a business.

What is the prosperity lesson that changed your life in massive or unexpected ways.

That there is no lack. There is enough for everyone.

Work that you are doing now that is meaningful to the world and to YOU.

Helping people create and update spaces to serve there needs now and into the future.

Name TWO ways you put your OWN ideas first.

1.? I listen to what my clients wants and needs and then create a style that is theirs using my skills and knowledge.

2.? I reflect on my inner voice to guide my business decisions

Tell us something that we wouldn’t have expected to learn about you!

I was in a wheelchair for 7.5 months and had to re learn to walk.? ?

And WOW! Read this reference review of her work from Matt that is posted on her LinkedIn Page!

Cathy is AMAZING at what she does! I would recommend Cathy to anyone and everyone! We did a whole house remodel last year, seriously almost every single inch of our house was touched. I just so happened to be introduced to Cathy right before we started our project. It was a huge undertaking but when I show people pictures of our home now they literally don't believe it's the same house, as a matter of fact most think the pictures are of a model home somewhere or from some magazine/website. I laugh when I have to tell them that "No, THIS is what our house looks like now!"

More to Cathy's credit, in the middle of our project with walls missing and holes in the ceiling (because we decided we were going stay in the house during the entire remodel) our 11 year old son at the time was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer that was Stage 4. Cathy saw when we were at our limit emotionally, physically and mentally and said "I got this" and took over the whole project for us so we could focus on our son and his chemo and radiation treatments along with caring for our other 4 kids. She took the time to learn what we wanted and had over-delivered to that point so we trusted her 110%.

It is not just a figure of speech to say that we couldn't have done this without Cathy because we absolutely could NOT have done it without her!

Cathy is so talented and very sensitive to other people's needs. She discovers and delivers the kind of beauty to her client's world that is uniquely them. I know she has very high standards and it shows up in everything I have seen. Everything beautiful--she lives it and brings it as a gift to her clients.
