Meet Candy N. our Human Resources (HR) & Administrative Associate. She supports critical HR functions of recruitment, contracting, performance management, compensation and benefits, health and safety, employee relations, and compliance for Teaching at the Right Level Africa .?Candy shares her experience working at TaRL Africa and what excites her about her role.

What has your experience been so far working in TaRL Africa?

TaRL Africa has a very dedicated and professional group of people working towards achieving its mission, which is to support every child across Africa to build foundational skills for a better future. There is great synergy and selflessness as we work towards improving children's literacy and numeracy, thus giving them a fighting chance at life.

What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

Implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that will ensure we automate and manage core routine tasks to free up time for staff to pursue our core objective for maximum impact.

What's the most unique part about working here?

I can make suggestions and be heard as well since we are building a new organization to be at the heart of it through quality hires and building a culture that will enable us to achieve our objectives.

What does relaxation/unwinding look like for you?

I am a workout junkie and an outdoor person, so my happy place is hiking, exploring, and communing with nature. In addition, I am a foodie, so I am always trying out new recipes as I love a good meal. I am also an excellent baker, and you haven't eaten pies till you eat my pies.

What is that one thing that your colleagues don't know about you?

?I have visited 40 countries and counting.
