Meet Canada-Based CEA Student, Andrew Jackson.

Meet Canada-Based CEA Student, Andrew Jackson.

Do you need your license but feel stuck with the exam for your particular engineering field? ??

We’ve already proved this is not the case with many Mechanical Engineers like Esteban Valderrama and Brett Van Hazel who joined our course and ended up passing the civil exams instead.

But that’s not all. ??

Our courses have also helped many international professionals get their license in their own countries by passing these NCEES exams! ??

That’s the case of Andrew Jackson, P.Geo, P.Eng. , a past member of The Ultimate Civil FE Review Course.

He’s a Geoscientist and Geologist with no civil engineering background who passed the FE Civil Exam as a step to get his P.Eng in Canada. (That’s right, not an EIT in the US!). ??

Why Take The Ultimate Civil FE Review Course? ??

Even though he wasn’t a civil engineering major, he found himself working at a company that was expanding into the Geotech side of things year after year. That wasn’t bad, but here’s the kicker. ??

While his Geology background certainly helped, he was still limited. As a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo), he could sign off on some Geotech work aligned with his education…but not all of what he was doing. ??

That’s when he realized he needed the P.Eng credential — the Canadian version of the PE — to remain valuable to the company.

Canada has a program that allows those who have an engineering-related professional license and work experience to take the FE and PE exams to apply for the P.Eng.

You can take these two exams, provide a bit more supporting documentation, and then that would allow for acceptance as a P. Eng,” he said. The problem?

How could he pass the college-level, math-heavy Civil FE Exam without the engineering education background and light years out of school? ??

That’s when he started searching for help…and found The Ultimate Civil FE Review Course. ??

His Exam Prep With the FE Course ??

Since he had been light years out of school, he didn’t sign up for the course until some time into his exam prep. Why?

To give himself some time to refresh his memory on a lot of the Calculus and Math topics he probably forgot after so many years.

I essentially sort of started plugging away and just kind of pulling whatever YouTube video I could watch,” he said. “So that was, to be honest, a lead up of at least six months before I even got into your course.

Then, once he did jumped into the course, he found even more problems to practice with to help him get back up to speed on such topics.

There's just a vast amount of videos of the problems,” he said. “Being able to watch the process and have those at hand; be able to go back and re-watch them. And yeah, just the presentation was very, you know, sort of absorbable.

And make no mistake, that's the key to passing the FE Exam: practice. That’s why we give you as much practice material as possible in our FE course.

From FREE FE problems on our dedicated FE YouTube playlist to complete practice exams…all the way to a full-blown FE CBT simulator that gives you a real-life experience of what it’s like to sit for the FE exam on exam day. ??

It's a good course for helping, you know, get that information available for the individual to work through and to absorb,” Andrew said. And “it was a reasonable price for me in that respect,” he continued. ??

Will You Be the Next P.Eng…or EIT? ??

Andrew’s journey is awesome. He felt the urge to keep improving professionally to stay at his company, and just went for it.

That’s exactly how you may be feeling right now if you haven’t gotten your FE done yet. Now the question is…will you go for it too, just as he did? ??

If we helped him get his license way up there in Canada (with no civil engineering background whatsoever), we can definitely help you get your EIT in the US — and your PE or CFM? too! ??

If you want to achieve what Andrew did, then go checkout The Ultimate Civil FE Review Course.

You’ll find all the theory stuff exactly as it’s in the specifications, in addition to lots of practice material (which is key!). This includes:

  • 300+ video-based problems (with step-be-step solutions)
