Meet Bobbie: we chat with 29Metals newly appointed HR Manager Bobbie Hart
At the end of November 29Metals announced the appointment of Bobbie Hart to the role of HR Manager. We caught up for a chat with Bobbie and this is what she had to say…
On her work and education background…
I have been with 29Metals at Capricorn Copper for two years, originally commencing in the business as the Senior HR Advisor, then being promoted to HR Superintendent.?
Before I started with 29Metals I worked at the Rocklands Copper Project in Cloncurry for nearly eight years in the role of HR Superintendent. I managed the full HR function from greenfield though to production, something that I am very proud of. Prior to that, I was an external HR resource to the mining industry, providing me with exposure from both perspectives.
My education is quite broad and I have qualifications in business, HR, marketing and communications. I am a strong believer in continued learning and ensuring I capitalise on my experiences.

On the new role…
I am very grateful that I’ve been extended the opportunity to step into a new role with 29Metals. I was seeking the next challenge in my career and with the changes that have been made to the HR structure internally, this timing is ideal. There is a real sense of motivation and I intend to capture the many experiences available and build on my current skills to help move the business forward.
29Metals is a great company for developing talent and supporting career aspirations and my move into the new role is an example of that.? I like that the 29Metals team can have career aspirations, that are supported by the business.
The priority for me in my new role will be to gain an understanding of the HR service delivery at Golden Grove and align the service delivery between both our sites. I am looking forward to working with both sites, and building an HR Advisory team that supports both GMs and their operations to achieve success.
On the values that drive her day to day work…
My personal values align well with the 29Metals values and they are very good drivers for the business component of the role. I’d like to think that my personal values of integrity, generosity and gratitude, continue to shape the way I engage and interact with team members and colleagues to form strong working relationships.
My approach has always been very focused on the delivery of the HR service and how best to support the business, so I will continue to maintain that mindset. I like to think that being adaptable, curious and confident will set me on a successful path in my new role.
