1. Artemis Fannin's journey to becoming a Sundance fellow ?
?? When Artemis Fannin was a little girl, she thought she wanted to be an actor.?
She put in the work to be a well-rounded performer. She acted in school plays, she took ballet, she played in the orchestra. She held onto that idea of acting all the way through high school until college. It was there, at Georgia State University, where she realized maybe her dreams laid elsewhere.
“Somewhere in the process I just realized that I didn’t feel like I wanted my whole life to be dependent on my physicality – me, as an actor, “ Fannin said.
Eventually, Fannin decided to become a producer.?Decades and a lot of false starts later, Fannin is one of eight women who have?been selected for the?2024 Sundance Women to Watch x Adobe Fellowship, a yearlong program designed to support and sustain the creative practice of women artists, with a focus on filmmakers from historically underrepresented communities.?

2. 'Titanic: An Immersive Voyage' premieres at Doraville's Exhibition Hub
?? Be prepared to be educated, amazed, and overwhelmed at Exhibition Hub’s latest installation,?“Titanic: An Immersive Voyage,”?which made its world premiere on July 26.
At a media preview last week, executive producer John Zaller gave our colleague Cathy Cobbs a tour of the exhibit. His latest project took more than three years to conceive and assemble using 300 artifacts from Titanic and its sister vessels, the Olympic and the Britanic, as well as the Carpathia, the vessel that rescued more than 700 survivors on the fateful night.
Zaller said the Titanic exhibition is different from other similar storytelling efforts in that it tells the story in reverse order, first introducing the iceberg that was the “unsinkable” ship’s downfall. The story then moves on to the intricate planning and execution of the ship’s construction in Belfast, Ireland to the maiden voyage in April of 1912, and its devastating demise only two days later.
