Meet Aslam Jamal, VP of Channels, EMEA & LATAM
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what led you to join Informatica.
I joined the company in January of this year, to run the channel partners business and operations for Informatica across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America regions. The main reason why I joined Informatica was the remarkable thought leadership in enterprise data management and the role it plays in our customer's digital transformations - here we can truly help our customers to be successful in building competitive advantages through their data-driven digital journeys.
What do you enjoy most about working at Informatica?
The people. I think we have a tremendous amount of talent and experience in this company and the right willingness to dream big and win big whilst delighting our customers and partners.
How would you rate the response and support by leadership to COVID-19?
I think we prioritized and executed the right actions, early on and in record time, to protect our employees (as well as our partners and customers) health and safety – whilst also delivering business continuity with minimum disruption, to our partners and customers in the regions we serve.
What advice would you give to job seekers looking to join Informatica?
If you have the right talent and experience, and you’re willing to invest yourself into dreaming and winning big with a company that truly contributes to the success of digital transformation journeys whilst delighting customers and partners, then raise your hand and join our team of rock stars.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.
A few things people don’t know about me - In my free time, I compete in motorsport, racing single-seater series at the national level, having already collected a few podiums; I’m also an avid amateur astronomer, always ready to stargaze on a good clear summer night; And although I enjoy all sorts of music, my preferred genre is definitely the Brazilian bossa nova.
What tv show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?
I have to admit that I do enjoy a good sitcom – and that I’m a fan of “Frasier”, an American sitcom that lasted eleven seasons and ended in 2004, which was popular by its refined quick-witted humor and intelligent comedy.
Motto or personal mantra? Anything worth doing is worth doing well
