Meet Amy Gauvrit, runner, football player, and Store Leader.?

When and why did you join Decathlon??

I joined Decathlon in 2016 as a Graduate Logistics Department Manager! Being French, my family and I used to go to Decathlon Stores to play sports, so my memories consist of Decathlon being such an exciting and friendly place to visit!?

I remember finally being convinced on my first interview when I saw Decathlon teammates playing basketball and table tennis on their break!

What is your job like at Decathlon Milton Keynes?

"As the Store Leader, I'm here to develop teammates while ensuring top-notch customer service is provided to our customers. My team and I ensure the right products are available, build partnerships within our local area, and secure a sustainable business model."

What makes you come to work every day??

"My team and sports.

Such a great team surrounds me; one that is positive and willing to help each other, and it makes me come to work each day with a smile! And I love working for Decathlon because we always get to play sports: during debrief meetings, team meetings, or even just on a random weeknight!"

Finally, how do you make a positive impact in your role?

"Through the people I work with!

I always try to build the confidence and autonomy of my team by being demanding but supportive. By working together and trusting each other, we can achieve great results while having an enjoyable time working together."
