Meet Amanda – sustainability nerd with a passion for data and gardening

In my role as Head of ESG, my main responsibility is to ensure that every Cheffelonian works towards a more sustainable future. Since I started, we have updated our sustainability strategy and set clear targets to establish common goals and direction.

Much of my time is dedicated to reporting and data. We are preparing for the upcoming EU reporting directive, CSRD, which will standardize sustainability reporting within the EU and provide a transparent way to compare our efforts with peers and competitors. For sustainability communication, it is crucial that every statement is supported by reliable data - there's too much green washing out there! Therefore, I assist our marketing team with validated statements for newsletters and social media.

Cross-functional collaboration is something I truly enjoy, especially within our sustainability squad. I am fortunate to work with a team of colleagues who are passionate about sustainability and committed to making a difference. I could not do my job without the support of the entire organization. Cheffelo enables me to grow and learn in my role, and I am very thankful for this opportunity to improve every day.

I am a HUGE gardening enthusiast, so whenever the weather allows, I spend most of my time in my allotment garden (kolonihave in Danish), growing berries, vegetables, and flowers, hosting barbecue nights, or building things. I also enjoy winter bathing in the local harbor and traveling to foreign countries. My best trip so far must've been a solo trip to Santorini, where I enjoyed the beautiful city and its animal life!

PS: I was born on Christmas Eve, so I also LOVE Christmas! ??
