Meet Alice, bubbly force of nature

Alice is currently based in Gothenburg. Sweden. She’s been at SKF Headquarter for a month and will stay until September. Her stay in Gothenburg is part of the Global Graduate Program: one and a half year where you get the opportunity to do 3 rotations, in different business areas and in different countries. Alice is originally from Italy, where she was born and raised, studied Work and Organizations Psychology and where her SKF journey started.

Alice has just started her second rotation in Gothenburg and is working within Communication – Branding and Global Events.

"It’s amazing to think about how much I’ve grown in only few months. SKF already means a lot to me: it’s where I’ve started discovering my value and my capabilities, where I have the chance to meet wonderful people who inspire me and where I learn something new every day."

Event planning

SKF has been the main sponsor to football tournament, Gothia Cup, since 2007. Every year since then, we also hold Meet the World tournaments, in loads of countries all over the world. It’s our largest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project and basically a pre-tournament to Gothia Cup. It allows local SKF units to host pre-tournaments and the local winners are given a trip to Gothenburg to compete in the Cup. Since 2006, MtW has seen 4030 participants, 45 nations and 264 tournaments. Alice is coordinating all the countries and plans the activities for the week, while also implementing the communication plan.

SKF is the place where Alice has met her Global Graduates Colleagues; sharing their journey and building a very special connection. SKF is driving change everywhere. “I feel like SKF truly cares about young people and is giving us the chance to grow with them: we bring a fresh point of view, new ideas and lots of energy -all needed in the path to change. In these past months, I’ve come to understood that what matters most, is not being an expert at everything. It’s your attitude, your passion, your willingness to learn and your hard work that makes the difference: in SKF we care about people for who they are, not only for what they know.”
