Meet Adrienne Aubuchon

What do you love about working for Zions Bancorporation?

I have been with the organization for over 20 years. When I was first hired at Nevada State Bank, I had a personal goal to stay for five years and then move on, as I did with previous banks. However, even in those first five years, I had multiple opportunities to cross-train with various teams that allowed me to grow through each new job function, and I’ve made Zions Bancorporation my home. With every line of business or new team, I continue to learn and be motivated by learning, understanding, and improving the work. I absolutely LOVE the people I work with, and I have a sincere passion to motivate and empower their career goals and aspirations, just as others have done for me.

What is something unique about you?

I have a very LOUD and over the top personality, so if you are shy or quiet, I may come across as too direct, daring, or obnoxious, but after spending a little time with me, you’ll see that I have a huge heart and sincerely value my relationships (friends, co-workers, and especially family).? Everything I do is BIG. I’m my kids’ biggest fan, so get me in the stands or in an audience, and you’ll hear my enthusiasm loud and clear. I carry that same passion over to my team, hoping to support their wins and accomplishments, cheering them on as their biggest fan.

What project are you currently most focused on?

I am fortunate to lead a relatively new team, and we are privileged to create our own job description and to determine how we will bring value to the organization. I LOVE that we can work with different teams to understand their processes and expectations, then create a risk management framework. We strive to work together to improve the work. We get to learn about different parts of the bank and improve the overall customer experience. Our 2024 goal is to expand our partnerships with enhanced communications and increase our training efforts. We want to be the trusted team of choice when taking on new tasks, as a valued partner in enhancing the current team, and ensuring the work is done accurately and effectively. In other words, we want you to think of Quality Risk Control as your respected partner and allow us the opportunity to strengthen the way we do business.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment?

Getting promoted to Senior Vice President in 2016 was a tremendous accomplishment; however, just recently I had several team members nominate me for the Icon Award for Empowering People, which was amazing. It was incredibly rewarding to be recognized for this award, coming from several team members. They motivate me to want to do better.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment?

I absolutely LOVE being a mom and now a grandmother (aka A Nae). Nothing makes me more excited than being a part of my kids’ lives, in their sports, school, or even their own career accomplishments. There is no bigger nor louder fan! Each of my kids have their own success and drive, which makes me a proud mom, every single day.

What motivates and inspires you?

I am a hard worker and I try to find something positive in everything and everyone. Knowing that I will work hard for you, in return, others will work hard for me, so it is incredibly rewarding and brings me a lot of joy. Whether we are family or coworkers, working together towards a win, is a win. I am an extremely competitive person, but that doesn’t mean I expect to do it all on my own. There is strength in numbers and when everyone contributes by doing their best work, it moves us forward - full speed ahead. I have taken the approach with my team to focus on what they do best. Somebody’s weakness may be another’s strength, so put the work where it will be done the best. For instance, with baseball, not everyone needs to be the greatest pitcher. To be successful, we need great pitching, catching, fielding, hitting, and with a team approach to have the best players on the field, we will win.
