In other major news this week, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens issued an administrative order that named the locations where four new MARTA stations will be built . And Dickens broke some more news with the order: MARTA will develop a bus rapid transit line connecting the redeveloped Bowen Homes community in Westside to Ponce City Market along the Atlanta BeltLine's Eastside Trail.

Speaking of the BeltLine, another directive in Dickens' order commands City of Atlanta staff, Atlanta BeltLine Inc. and MARTA to "begin developing a plan for transit options on the entirety of the BeltLine corridor."

Does that mean the Atlanta Streetcar extension on the BeltLine is a go? Advocates for and against BeltLine rail are surely seeking clarification.
