For the fourth year in a row, Business First is celebrating the people and companies around Western New York who make inclusivity, diversity and equity pillars of their businesses.
This year, we're proud to recognize 19 individuals and five organizations in the 2023 IDEA Awards. They were chosen from about 100 nominations for championing diversity and inclusion in their workplaces and communities.

HoganWillig becomes Tiveron Law PLLC
The former Hogan Willig law firm is now Tiveron Law PLLC.
Diane Tiveron , longtime managing partner at Hogan Willig, last month bought out founding partner Corey Hogan, whose license to practice law was suspended for two years as of Dec. 30.
Tiveron, who’s been with the firm since the 1980s and has been managing partner for more than 15 years, is now the sole owner, she said. ?|? Read more

Servotronics' new CEO charts path forward
Servotronics, Inc. ' new CEO has spent the last 10 months working to get the company back on track after a tumultuous time. Bill Farrell Jr. took the helm in April after an investigation led to the ouster of previous CEO Kenneth Trbovich. He came into a company still struggling with a pandemic-based downturn in business.

Downtown sports bar expands the party with site in Depew
A Buffalo sports bar is expanding into the suburbs with a second location.
Sidelines Sports Bar and Grill will open in the coming weeks at 6036 Transit Road in Depew, where Route 78 Street Bar closed in mid-January after seven years in business under owner James Valenti.??| ?Read more
