The ceremony, held at the Babylon Hotel in Baghdad, brought together distinguished dignitaries, honored guests, and prominent business leaders to mark the occasion.
Led by Nisrin Khalil, the BVMW Iraq Representative and Owner of Meena Business Consultancy Services, the event underscored the significance of collaboration between the two nations in driving economic growth and innovation. KINGDOM of SAUDI ARABIA:
Aramco, PIF and Baosteel tender Saudi steel plant
The proposed steel plate manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia, will have a capacity of up to 1.5 million tonnes annually. Saudi Aramco, the PIF, and Baosteel have invited EPIC proposals for the complex, which will include various production and infrastructure packages. The facility aims to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 60% and will support various industrial sectors and local manufacturing initiatives.
Local firm to codevelop Saudi wind IPPs
The Al Ghat and Waad Al Shamal wind power projects in Saudi Arabia, with a combined capacity of 1.1GW, are being co-developed by Ajlan & Bros and Japan's Marubeni Corporation. These projects achieved world record low electricity costs and are part of Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Programme. Saudi Arabia aims to install 58,700MW of renewable energy by 2030, potentially increasing to 130GW depending on demand.

The firm has recently signed expansion agreements in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, launched the project.

QATAR:
Minister says Qatar on track to double LNG output
QatarEnergy plans to achieve 160 million t/y of LNG output by 2030, with 142 million t/y from North Field expansion and 18 million t/y from its US project. CEO Saad Sherida Al Kaabi emphasized the rising global demand for LNG and defended Qatar’s expansion amid skepticism. The North Field expansion alone will increase capacity from 77.5 million t/y to 126 million t/y by 2028.
QatarEnergy to acquire Egypt offshore stakes
QatarEnergy will acquire a 40% stake in Cairo and Masry offshore exploration blocks from ExxonMobil, while ExxonMobil remains the operator with a 60% interest. This agreement requires approval from the Egyptian government. Previously, QatarEnergy acquired interests in other Egyptian offshore blocks, including North Marakia and Red Sea regions.
