Saudi Arabia's Roshn launches Mecca project
Saudi Arabian real estate developer Roshn launched Almanar, a mixed-use development in Mecca. Phase one spans 2.5 million square meters with 4,149 residential units and amenities like malls, commercial centers, and a business park. Situated at Mecca's western gate, Almanar is Roshn's fifth project, supported by PIF, aiming to boost homeownership.

Global petrochemicals output capacity to soar by 2030
Global petrochemicals production capacity is set to surge, reaching 3,546.46 million t/y by 2030, with 1,919 plants anticipated, mainly in Asia and the Middle East. QatarEnergy signs charters with four shipowners
QatarEnergy has signed long-term charter agreements with four shipowners for 19 new LNG vessels. Each vessel, with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, will employ advanced technologies for fuel efficiency and emission reduction. The $19bn shipbuilding program aims to support future LNG production volumes and solidify Qatar's position as the leading LNG exporter.
McDermott completes financial restructuring exercise
McDermott International completed its financial restructuring, following Dutch and UK legal directives. The Transaction Support Agreement (TSA) secures support from owners and lenders, extending credit facilities until mid-2027. US courts recognized Dutch and UK rulings under Chapter 15, resolving Reficar arbitration and liabilities. This marks McDermott's second restructuring in two years, following its 2020 capital raise after emerging from bankruptcy due to the CB&I acquisition.

Dogus Construction partners with Egypt to develop a $7bn industrial and logistics zone in Gargoub Port, Egypt. The project includes multi-purpose terminals, a touristic port, and support for financing. Dogus also collaborates with Saudi Arabia for data center projects.
