Medtec Live Nuernberg Germany March 31st
Medtec Live takes place in Nuernberg, Germany from March 31st until April 2nd. 2020 . Its a conference and trade show.
This show concentrates on medical device manufacturing. Aspects like raw material issues, qualification, packaging, production technology and services are the core themes of the show.
One aspect of this is the European medical device regulation (MDR). This demands marking of medical devices. This demand is also well known as UDI - Unique device identification. The demands are relatively complex because time frames and demands differ for Class I, II and III products categories. Further in somes case a product can simply be labelled but in other cases a direct part marking (DPM) is the only solution. The variation of hoiw to get the UDI Code on the products varies therefore very much.
The REA VeriCube is presented on the show to demonstrate a method and instrument for print / marking quality assurance for a UDI codification. It can be used for label verification but also for direct part marking.
The method of quality assesment bases on the international standard ISO/IEC 15415 and ISO/IEC TR 29158.
