“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”
–Mother Teresa
In the great game of entrepreneurship, the emphasis is often on doing BIG things. Raising a big round. Building a big company. Having a huge exit.
But the reality is that while the big things get the headlines, it’s the small things that matter. Progress comes from doing many small things well each day.
Marketing and sales are punctuated by big launches and campaigns, but the prose that moves our story forward is the consistent day-to-day activity and testing.
While we want it to be raining customers, the path to get there is finding ways to positively impact each person who touches your brand, whether a prospective or current customer, employee or partner.
While we want our teams to move mountains to achieve our vision, the real work is in finding ways to nurture ourselves and our team each day.
Small things are our habits. Our habits over time determine our progress.
The big things will come if you are faithful in the small things.
