Meditation for Corporate Mind -Secret Tips & Techniques

This article will help you to find out the modern practising and practical techniques of meditation irrespective of any place and time, just to enhance your mindfulness and focus which you can't get by any medication or exercise. So let's dive in...
When we think of meditation, we are kind of confused and sort of procrastinate this practice due to a lack of knowledge and interest.
For someone, it's 'BORING', and for someone, it's very interesting since they have heard and read so many good things about it.
As per my research, only 1-2% population of the world knows the right way of meditation.
No one can reach enlightenment in one day or a week-long meditation.
Tell me, do you get promoted in one day of good performance? Exceptions are there maybe?
So that's the catch here. We try to find out the result in a day or two but by that time we can't even learn how to sit properly in meditation posture. Agreed?
Just 3-4 years back, when I started this beautiful practice, I couldn't make it for even a couple of weeks. I was started getting a negative feeling for my mind and focus power. I was quite frustrated and wasn't getting the proper way of doing it.
I tried everything like using earbuds, music, chanting and many other things to get it to work but couldn't find the right way. I'm not saying that the way others teaches it is wrong. However, no way is wrong, it's just the matter of which one suits you better at the initial stage.
You know why?
Because I wasn't aware of 'my way' of doing it. So you need to find your way to make it happen. I'll tell you how?
Meditation is that you can do it from anywhere, anytime, accept you are not driving or involved in any activity which required your undivided attention.
Here, I would share few techniques that worked for me and I'm sure this work for you too. Try it and feel the difference.
Technique 1- First of all, it is completely wrong that you shouldn't think of anything. In fact, your mind makes you think automatically.
The more you try not to think, the more you will be surrounded by your thoughts.
So, not to worry. You don't have to be panic if your mind taking you to a client's call, arguing with the boss, paying for your bills, about your friend, about the meeting, deadlines etc; I have gone through this many times. Let it come and it will go itself. (this will happen quite many times at your initial stage of meditation)
Rather, Sit straight and relax and try to focus back on something stable, like the face of your idol (Buddha or imagine candlelight) and watch your breath. Feel the way you inhale and exhale slowly.
And for the initial stage, a peaceful place is preferred.
Preferred time- min 10-15 mins for 1st week.
Technique 2- Wear a pair of earbuds and take a long deep breath in and out. Make sure you can hear your entire breathing.
You may also chant 'OM' in the form of AAAAAAUUUUUOOOOOOOMMMMMMM (properly open your mouth while starting and close your mouth while finishing. You should feel a sense of vibration (humming) in your vocal cord while pronouncing MMMMMM part)
You may also keep saying, " I'm not the body, I'm not even the mind" for 20-25 times or more.
Don't forget, the mind will take you all around the corner of your world while practising this and ask you to wrap up this nonsense. Just stay focused for 10-15 mins.
Technique 3- Use your earphone/ headphone to listen to any 'OM' chant or Tibetan music or alpha delta waves to make sure that you hear no sound from outside. (Youtube will help)
Don't forget to put your phone on flight mode. (Don't worry, the world will not turn upside down if you leave it off for 15 mins or so)
While you do it, you will feel the game played by your mind every now and then. So tell it silently that these 15 mins are mine and I'll keep focusing.
Slowly open your eyes and thanks your mind, your surroundings and your body to help you in this delightful moment.
Note: You need to increase your meditation time every week by a minimum of 5 mins.
One of these techniques will help on your work place also. Take 10 mins brake and find a best place or your own seat to do it. Already inform your surrounding and colleages about it in advance. Don't care about anyone, what they will think or say. In few days time, they will use to of it, infact inform them about your experinces once you get yours.
I did the same at my workplace and didn't care about anybody's reaction but later after my improved performances and focus, I was appreciated and didn't have to tell the secret to anyone since it was known to all. (few of them also joined me later).
Problem is, we don't start or either do it half-hearted. There is a very thougtful line said by Gautam Budhha- "There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting."
Trust me, you will slowly master it and win over your mind over a period of time if you practise this every day without any fail.
Once you slowly getting a hold of your meditation technique and mind, you won't need any external resources to help you. You can do it anywhere and anytime.
Benefits you will start feeling in 2-3 months are improved willpower, focus, intelligence, anger management, discipline. So overall, a healthy mind, body and soul.
But we don't need to stop, we need to keep going as if everyone does that, we would never have any complain with any one. I mean this entire world will change drastically.
