but that’s how most of the other things (like clarity, focus, discipline) which takes your life to the next level are.
You often meet people who started meditation at some point in their lives, did it for weeks or may be months, but finally they couldn’t continue it for long. Perhaps! the transformation they were seeking, takes longer than they expected. Here are a few tips to keep it going...
- Unbind Yourself – Mediation needs No Boundaries! Don’t restrict your meditation practice with time, duration and place. It will set its own clock once it syncs with your soul. Don’t make commitments which you will not be able to fulfill such as “I will meditate for 20 minutes every day”, it doesn’t work that way. You only need to do it till the time you are comfortable, it works magically, when done for 2 minutes, 5 minutes or 50 minutes. Mornings are good to do it but it works equally well in afternoons or evenings. Nature creates a spell when mingled with meditation, but so does a convenient silent corner in your home or in office.
- Keep Experimenting – Till the time you haven’t found that one particular practice which gels inside you, keep experimenting with different forms of meditation. There is a treasure available and google provides it all for free (music based mediation, simple breathing techniques, chants & mantras, concentration oriented mediation). let's the exploration going on...
- Get Hooked – It’s often recommended to perform your practice with a companion, be it your partner, friend, colleague or master. If you don’t have one, then again Google works well here too. There are a countless guided practices(audio/video based) available for free.
- One Mindful Breath A Day - One of the very famous Google Pioneer Chade-Meng Tan talks about
“One Mindful Breath A Day”
The only promise you have to make is of taking "One Conscious Breath a Day" and you will not realize when this one breath will turn into a soulful 20/30 minutes of meditation - That’s where your Journey of Boredom to Blissfulness will begin...
