I took the last three weeks off to disconnect from work, social media and the news. Instead, we travelled through northern Italy and enjoyed the beauty of the landscape and the country's people.
Away from work, it was easier to start—and end—each day with gratitude.
In particular, I am grateful that each of us has the freedom to believe what we wish to believe. Here are a few things I believe:
1.) The path to achieving more peace in the world is to cultivate inner peace within ourselves. The challenge isn't to change other people; it is to change ourself.
2.) The first step to inner peace is to cultivate self-compassion and love for ourself.
3.) The more people who join together to focus on these two important steps, the better our world will be.
That's why I founded Meditate for Peace. That's why I am so happy you are part of this community.

5 个月We said. I meditate for Peace to inner peace in myself. I cannot speak about peace when I don't have peace. Meditate for Peace is so needed in my own country Cape Town South Africa. That's why I decided to start in the local communities

5 个月Hi to everyone from Venkatesh Iyer. I have been meditating for years, and I have lost my temper - not in the usual sense of those words. I added a few eons to my patience capabilities, and I have become a slow reactor. It has not been an easy process, and I am far from perfect. But there are days when I am in an absolute meditative trance, and afterwards, I wonder why I didn't realign the universe. I always get the feeling I could have.
