Mediocrity Manifest
Making a list of what you're "not great at" can feel scary. Here's why it's essential for your happiness.?
?I sat down today to brainstorm a list of items where I ranked myself as “mediocre” at best. I got to 7 pretty fast and decided to quit.? ?
In today’s world, we feel the need to be amazing at everything. No one wants to admit that they’re not very good at playing golf, public speaking, etc.
The unnecessary anxiety caused by this pursuit of perfection keeps us from enjoying those areas where we excel.
Embracing our mediocrity creates the space necessary to find and master our true talents.
