Medicine and Health Supply Mission

This whole thing started with my mom and her solo effort to supply our relatives back in Vietnam with over-the-counter medication, natural supplements, and health supplies such as bandaids, q-tips, cotton balls, adult diapers, etc. It started with a few relatives complaining about their health, then the medication that they received from the local pharmacies being fake. My mom shipped the first care box about two years ago. A few months later, she shipped another box. Then it became a routine, whereby she would be shipping any health products that she thought would be useful to our relatives back home every quarter. I asked her why she needed to do so. She explained that genuine medications were hard to come by as too many fake medications flooded the market. I read about it. There are not many articles in English, but ask anyone in Southeast Asia and they will tell you, it's a huge problem. This got me thinking that there must be a way to expand my mom's effort so it's not just limited to our relatives, given how widespread this issue is. I first approached the Phoenix Asian American Lions Club to ask for advice on how to start a non-profit with this idea. Immediately, the team counseled me to start a mission under the Lions Club's umbrella, allowing me to kickstart this project sooner rather than later.
