Aspen Medical Products rolls out VRTX integrated cervical-to-sacrum spine support system
Developed based on the company’s previous Vista Cervical Collar, the VRTX System incorporates enhanced features into the new VRTX Collar.
It comprises prefabricated CTO, TLSO, LSO and CTLSO components, which provide optimal motion restriction and can be used according to the patient’s needs.
Aspen Medical Products said that the VRTX System is the first-ever cervical-to-sacrum system designed to redefine spinal care in acute care settings.
Its prefabricated design, combined with intuitively adjustable sizing will help clinicians fit patients and stabilise the spine immediately.
AEYE Health, Topcon Screen partner on AI-based diabetic retinopathy screening
Topcon Screen is a diabetic eye screening platform from?Topcon Healthcare .
AEYE-DS is a diagnostic screening technology.
It is said to have the quickest screening times and best-in-class efficacy as it only needs one image per eye and processes exams in less than five seconds.TRC-NW400 is a completely automated and robotic retinal camera.
The partnership is intended to offer AI-based point-of-care screening for diabetic retinopathy to generate immediate and accurate results.
It will enable primary care clinicians to directly screen patients for diabetic retinopathy in their clinic.
AEYE Health , which is engaged in providing AI-based diagnostics for retinal imaging, said that the partnership will help minimise the risk of non-compliance and close care gaps.

The US conglomerate said that the acquisition of Paragon Medical would significantly expand its presence in the medical technology field and provide access to new market segments.
Also, Paragon Medical ’s products and capabilities will complement its existing medical businesses and enable geographic and customer expansion opportunities, said AMETEK .
The transaction is subject to certain customary closing conditions, including necessary regulatory approvals.
Medinol secures FDA approval for EluNIR-PERL coronary stent system
EluNIR-PERL is the latest coronary stent in its EluNIR family of DES products and builds on the company’s existing EluNIR DES system.
The system comes with four radiopaque markers, two at each end of the stent, and a radiopaque catheter tip made of hybrid polymer-metal.
Its unique features facilitate superior visualisation during PCI procedures including navigation through complex anatomies and placement of the stent, said the medical device maker.
