Welcome to the team!
PolarSeal is continuing to grow and evolve, and we believe a strong workforce with a wide range of skills an industry knowledge is what sets PolarSeal apart from our competitors.
We are pleased to introduce our new members of the team.
“My new role as Continuous Improvement Manager is a direct reflection of Polarseal’s vision to Enhance Global Wellbeing. I work across all business functions to continuously challenge the status quo and drive improvement ‘often’. As a qualified mechanical engineer, project manager and Lean/Six Sigma practitioner, I provide a well-blended mix of professional competence to my role.??With a military career of nearly 3 decades behind me with the last 10 in Military Aviation, tied to my commercial experience within Rail, Construction and Utilities I have a deep understanding of working within heavily regulated environments.
My vision and goals for Polarseal are to leave a legacy of ‘why’ and inculcate a culture that empowers activity owners with decentralised decision-making appropriate to the situation.”
"Over the past decade there have been several seismic shifts within the global MedTech industry.
We have seen increased consolidation via large M&A deals that have created global, complex organisations with a need for operational efficiency and following an influx of investment capital into HealthTech, we have seen an explosion in the number of well-funded start-ups and scale-ups looking to access design, development, and commercialisation expertise across their supply chain.
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), whether large multi-nationals, well-funded start-ups, or scale-ups, are increasingly looking to Contract Design & Manufacturing Organisations (CDMOs) like PolarSeal for specialist support. Rapid innovation in our sector, including the accelerating convergence of device, digital technology, and therapeutics, has OEMs seeking long term CDMO partners that can provide operational efficiencies from both an engineering and regulatory perspective, specialised expertise, and enhanced quality to support device development and commercialisation. In addition, the convergence of technology platforms and business models outside of OEMs’ core technical competencies with complex material, manufacturing and supply chain considerations is driving ever increasing complexity in the MedTech sector.
Following my degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Reading, I have spent the last 26 years accelerating access to innovative MedTech, Biopharmaceutical and Diagnostic products that help improve the quality and quantity of life for patients and healthcare consumers around the world. My primary focus has been on bringing products to market with the major multi-nationals such as GE Healthcare and Stryker, as well as pioneering HNW-backed start-ups and PE & VC-backed SME scale-ups. Over this time, I have been fortunate to have commercialised some of the most recognised MedTech brands and most talked about new product launches.
To allow the large multi-nationals and well-funded start-up OEMs to focus on market access, commercial launch, and scaling strategies, CDMO partners integrated across the value chain are increasingly being utilised. With the MedTech outsourcing market forecast to nearly triple by 2030, I believe PolarSeal is uniquely positioned to support companies with their product design & development, manufacturing, assembly, packaging & labelling, regulatory and operational requirements.
My vision is for PolarSeal to enhance global wellbeing by becoming the most trusted, value-creating and go-to MedTech CDMO in the market. I am energised to be joining Polarseal as commercial lead at such a fascinating and pivotal time within the MedTech sector and I am looking forward to helping empower our teams with the authority and responsibility to serve our growing client base in a highly professional, timely and results-focused way."
