MediaCat Monthly, Nov 22 | Side Quests
MediaCat UK
MediaCat UK is an online publication covering the media side of the marketing industry
Welcome to November 2022 edition of MediaCat Magazine Monthly. This month's theme was Side Quests: how much of life goes according to plan, and should it? For November we explored planning... do we always need a plan? What gems can be found in life’s side quests?
Our writers went to town this month: we had articles on the differences between planning and strategy, queer YA fiction and finding one's true self, putting DEI at the heart of business, hindsight bias, choosing adventure, freedom and flipping the bird to culture, goals versus stress, and, er, geese. There's podcasts on paths into the industry, oppression and rebellion, and life and work going according to plan. Also, interviews on adding purpose to content, fighting violence against women, and breaking down Japanese stereotypes.
Phew. Yet another monster issue. We hope you've been enjoying the magazine this year.

After curating an excellent playlist earlier this year, our friends at Truant London return with another superb selection: Side Quests playlist?— listen whilst you read the articles.
