The Media-Driven Business Playbook

The Media-Driven Business Playbook

I remember the late 2010s when Gary Vaynerchuk was telling everyone—until he was blue in the face—that they needed to post content, repurpose content, monitor engagement, and treat social media like oxygen for their business.

But here’s the thing—knowing you need to do something and actually executing with precision are two different realities.

Like many, I started creating content with no real structure. I launched a podcast with no defined audience, no clear message, and no call to action. I was blending business with personal content, experimenting, pivoting every six months, trying to find my niche. It was messy—but necessary.

That process taught me invaluable lessons.

As I transitioned deeper into technology—merging my background in e-health, human performance, and data science—I realized that understanding the landscape of wearables, AI, and sports tech was only half the battle. The other half? Communicating value effectively.

From Football Coach to Tech Entrepreneur

The truth is, I had worn every hat in my industry:

?? High school PE teacher

?? University instructor

?? Military performance coach

?? Private wellness coach

?? NFL Combine trainer

?? Youth, high school, and college coach

I hold multiple degrees, a business, and more industry experience than most. But none of that matters if the message isn’t reaching the right people.

The world doesn’t just reward expertise—it rewards those who communicate expertise effectively.

That’s when I made a shift.

I needed to become a media entity. Not just someone who creates content, but someone who operates with a structured strategy—clear objectives, high-quality visuals, and an ecosystem designed to build trust and authority at scale.

Vegas, PodLab, and the Power of 4K Content

This past weekend, I traveled to Las Vegas to record at PodLab LV—a high-end content studio built for serious creators. Working alongside Dakota Hanshew, I was surrounded by every digital media tool necessary to produce high-quality, professional content.

The experience changed everything.

?? Recording in 4K with studio-grade audio and lighting

?? Using a teleprompter to refine my delivery & messaging

?? Streamlining my content creation process for efficiency

I didn’t just walk away with 150+ pieces of content—I left with a deeper understanding of what it means to present yourself as a media brand.

Because in 2025, businesses aren’t just businesses anymore—they’re media companies first.

The Modern Business Playbook: Become a Media Company

The days of simply having a great product or service are over. If you aren’t:

?? Producing high-quality content that educates and builds trust

?? Creating a clear message with a defined audience

?? Analyzing what converts and iterating on strategy

?? Driving traffic through structured distribution

Then you’re playing with your eyes closed.

People follow brands that provide consistent, valuable insights—not just those that sell. If your content isn’t optimized, structured, and intentional, you’re getting lost in the noise.

For solopreneurs like me, this is even more critical. I don’t have a massive marketing team—but by leveraging media effectively, I can build influence, scale awareness, and drive conversions at a fraction of the cost.

Beyond Content: Structuring My Business for Scale

The Vegas trip solidified the next phase of my journey—executing a high-level content strategy to complement my data-driven performance company, HyperSpeed USA.

At its core, HyperSpeed is built on structured data, AI, and human performance insights. My system—Functional Operating Capacity (FOC)—is designed to bridge the gap between athletes, military personnel, first responders, and professionals, providing objective performance benchmarks based on industry-specific data.

Here’s how my custom database and automation systems allow me to scale efficiently:

? Industry & Sport-Specific Data Models—I track 18 industries and 6 sports to create benchmarks for optimal workload, fatigue management, and performance readiness.

? Personalized Dashboards & Reports—Every individual I work with receives a customized breakdown of their data, allowing for actionable insights tailored to their profession.

? AI-Driven Risk Analysis—My system flags injury risks, burnout thresholds, and inefficiencies, making performance predictable rather than reactive.

? Automated Customer Journey—From assessment → consultation → programming, my platform ensures a seamless end-to-end experience without wasted steps.

The structure is in place. Now, it’s about flooding the market with high-quality, strategic content.

Content Strategy Moving Forward

After 12+ years in my profession, I finally feel like the training wheels are off.

?? My content will focus on:

?? Human performance insights (readiness, recovery, training efficiency)

?? Solopreneurship & business-building (creating a data-driven business)

?? Technology in sports & fitness (AI, wearables, motion tracking)

?? Personal development & discipline (the habits behind success)

This is bigger than just HyperSpeed. It’s about building a blueprint for navigating the modern economy.

A few non-negotiables every entrepreneur needs to execute:

?? Structure your content strategy—No more aimless posting. Every post must educate, inspire, or convert.

?? Invest in high-quality visuals—The standard is rising. Poor-quality content doesn’t cut it in a crowded market.

?? Engage & iterate constantly—Track engagement, refine messaging, and pivot when necessary.

?? Own your audience & distribution—Don’t rely solely on social media. Substack, blogs, and email lists are key.

Final Thoughts: The First Quarter of a Long Game

This trip wasn’t just about content—it was about elevating my execution.

Now, I’m launching the next phase:

? Establishing HyperSpeed as the leading human performance platform

? Building a media brand around thought leadership & execution

? Leveraging content to grow my reach, credibility, and business impact

This is the first quarter of a long game.

The process isn’t about perfection—it’s about momentum.

If four years ago, I was just a high school football coach with no clue how to monetize my skills—and I built this—then so can you.

Let’s get to work. ??
