?? KONAMI brings web3 to games. Konami publisher for childhood favorites like Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Castlevania, Frogger, Yu-Gi-Oh, and more has partnered with Avalanche to bring web3 via their marketplace Resella. Konami will unveil more about Resella and their partnership with Avalanche on July 5th via their presentation “KONAMI Resella NFT Solutions on Avalanche” at the IVS Crypto 2024 Kyoto event.?

?? @Skrice Studios’ Web3 mobile strategy game ‘Heroes of Mavia’ has begun rolling out the second phase of the game, titled ‘Next Frontier’. This new phase will gradually introduce in-game features such as live PvP ‘Ruby Battles’, alongside a “web marketplace” which allows players and non-players alike to trade game item NFTs for the $MAVIA token and Ruby currency. It’s the Ruby currency that provides an interesting point of conversation. As noted by @Decrypt, the currency replicates the behavior of cryptocurrency by making off-chain transactions discoverable on the upcoming ‘Ruby Scan’ explorer. It’s an interesting way of introducing the core mechanics of blockchain to mainstream gaming audiences while respecting the App Store’s policies on cryptocurrency.?
