The Redwood Symphony, under Eric Jukawsky, will perform Symphony No. 2 on its program Saturday night February 10 at the Ca?ada College Theater. Details at its website, Redwoodsymphony.org. Mechem will be interviewed at 7pm; his symphony will open the concert at 8pm, followed by Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante and Stravinsky's Petrushka (with supertitles). Mechem's work was written for the San Francisco Symphony under Josef Krips, who conducted its first nine performances.
