??

Imagine you are at your terrace with your acquaintance ( Known Person ) and you find the person with you got collapsed suddenly because of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Fortunately you are a trained CPR rescuer , after diagnosing him , you call the ambulance and start Immediate CPR , you are obviously giving him High Quality CPR and after sometime Ambulance arrive , the medical staff reaches on terrace to take that person to the hospital.

But you know that you do not have to Interrupt the CPR more than 10 sec. otherwise chances of survival will drop. So, what would you do in that scenario , obviously you will not be having any option apart from Interrupting the CPR , because you have to get the victim down from the stairs to take the victim to the ambulance and somehow if you will deliver the victim to the ambulance than What is the surety that he will get a HIGH QUALITY CPR in that moving ambulance.

Be Practical, do you really think that in an Ambulance , any one can easily sit and give High Quality CPR. No way, because ambulance is not that much spacious and until you make him reached to the Hospital , He would have lost his life because of Absence of HIGH QUALITY CPR.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT CPR , you can read the article below , by clicking on the link ??

So, as of now you might be convinced and asked. YES , VISHAL there are the Practical Problems but is there any solution for these Problem/ Hurdles.

I would say yes , off course , every Problem has solution obviously there is solution for these problems as well.

YES , the solution is Mechanical CPR Device. Because a human can fail but machine will not fail to perform a task Accurately and for a long span of time.

What is Mechanical CPR Device ?

Mechanical CPR is a device which delivers high quality of chest compression automatically at a consistent rate and depth over a long span of time without any frequent error. It could be Direct Power Operated , Battery Operated or Pneumatic Driven.

I Know I Know after reading these things , you are more curious to know about Mechanical CPR device and want to see it. I will tell you each and everything so not to worry.

So, here I am going to discuss or show you SCHILLER AG's mechanical CPR Device, model name EASY PULSE

Easy Pulse is basically a Battery Power or DC Operated device , It has Battery-operated hoist motor that drives the pressure pad.

I think SCHILLER has Invested a lot of time to make this device. So that it can tick all the boxes of user requirement like.

  1. PORTABILITY ??
  2. USER FRIENDLY ??
  3. EFFECTIVNESS ??

As you can see in the above Picture , they did not give so many buttons on the device to make it complicated , there are only 3 buttons to make the device easy to operate.

  • First Button is to Switch ON/OFF the Device
  • Middle Button is to Resume and Stop the Compression
  • Last Button is to put the device in 30:2 Mode

MODES :

This device has two modes. One is 100 CPM means it will give 100 Compressions Per Minute without any Interruption and Second is 30:2 which means after giving 30 Compression it will automatically stop for 2 Rescue Breath ( Which By Stander has to give , either by mouth to mouth or Ambubag) .

Selection of modes depends upon where and by whom the device is being used , if trained Rescuer using than he has to take care of rescue breaths as well.

NOTE : This device only delivers CHEST COMPRESSION. ( All the available devices in the market only give chest compression )

Batteries :

It comes along with 2 no.s of lithium polymer batteries with battery Charging Docket Station and each battery can go up to 45 minutes of Continue Operation and you can see that battery has indication it self which tells about the battery level . It takes 50 minutes to charge a single battery and both the batteries can be charged simultaneously.

One more thing SCHILLER is giving along with device that is AC to DC Adapter , with the help of this adaptor , you can Operate the device directly through AC wall supply . In case if battery is not fully charged , you can use this adaptor to operate this device.

This is the good thing , I feel about this device that you do not have to depend upon the battery all the time.

SLIDER WITH BUCKLE :

It is recommended to use Hard Surface Underneath the patient while giving the CPR. So, this Slider fulfills that requirement , also there are straps which help to hold the machine on chest.

Transportation Bag :

This is the transportation bag to take the device anywhere from one place to another , this is also a good thing that you can carry each and every part anywhere .

HERE I AM LEAVING A SMALL VIDEO , ON HOW TO HOOK UP THE DEVICE AND HOW DOES IT WORK :

I think , Now I do not have to tell you the advantages of this device as you are smart enough to understand that How much this device is useful.

But there are some genuine challenges with this device , which I really want to discuss :

  • This device needs a proper training on How to Setup on a patient ,Which I think is not a big deal. Because if someone is learning how to perform CPR on a patient than It is also easy for him/her to learn this thing as well.
  • You can use this device only on ADULT patient or where double handed CPR is recommended. As per my Experience these types of devices are basically not meant for Pediatric.
  • It covers limited chest circumference ( 76 cm to 135 cm ) means the Person should come b/w this range of Chest circumference.

So, this is all about MECHANICAL CPR DEVICE , I did not want to make this Article lengthy this is the reason , I did not cover some little Clinical details.

If you have any Queries/ Question , which comes out of curiosity after reading this article .

Please ask me in the COMMENT section , I would love to answer your all queries within my capacity.
