The goal of environmental indicators is to communicate information about the environmental conditions and to identify activities of entity which affects on environment so as to device strategies and policies to protect environment. Following major indicators are identified by the UNCTD's Core Indicators for Sustainability and SDG Impact Reporting Training Manual.

Greenhouse gas emissions
Ozone-depleting substances and chemicals

Land and biodiversity

Learning Objectives
By the end of the module, you will:
a) Be able to define and calculate the following core indicators in the environmental area:

? Waste reused, re-manufactured and recycled;
? Hazardous waste generation;
? Greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1);
