Measure what matters

The workforce of the day has choices and their aspirations continue to grow. Organizations have no choice but to cater to these aspirations.

To build an organization where today's workforce is retained and thrives, traditional, financial metric of performance alone would not suffice.

We need to strike a balance of the two - financial metrics and also people metrics, to run a sound business and a vibrant, sustainable organization. (Attached pic gives a snapshot of the two metrics).

And a system of performance management needs to focus on both, inputs as well as outputs i.e. lead and lag indicators.
