Measure it. Track it. Achieve It.

Measure it. Track it. Achieve It.

One day? Or day one?

For many companies, July is the start of a new fiscal year.

For us, it's the start of our Council Year!

Like the traditional January 1st new years, we love to focus on "new year, new me" where many of us set lofty goals for the year ahead!

The countless data shows that most of those goals fall off by the second week, and even fewer ever make it to completion.

The data also shows that a habit is formed in as little as 18 days if we really focus, and there are 31 days in July.

So this July, we have an opportunity.

We are going to break those goals down into daily, bite-sized chunks and by the end of this month, we'll see just how much better we are.

So today is day one!

As engineers, we know that the more data and better tracking we do, the higher the probability of success.

That's exactly what day one is all about.

What we measure is what we manage.

If we want to get better at anything, we must track it to achieve it.

It doesn't matter if we're tracking how many times we make the bed or how many units we need to produce to meet our company's goal.

Anything in life that we want to get better with needs to be measured.

It is time to take stock in what we are doing. We all have personal goals and it is important to keep ourselves accountable. One way we can do this is by measurements. Especially when it comes to finances. Thanks for the article.

Very insightful! Some of the most successful entrepreneurs I've ever met have said exactly the same thing.
