Meanwhile in the Mews
How does the leader
Feel facing the reporter
While guns are on fire
And kill families entire?
He smiles and he drinks
But no one knows what he thinks
What he feels, who knows?
Only him, only him knows
Meanwhile in the mews
Stray cats err and yowl their mewls
They really feel fine
They see there’s no change in time
They feel what they need
And only their needs they feed
How the assassin
Feels burying his victim?
He seems so easy
Filling his perfect duty
He smiles and he drinks
But no one knows what he thinks
What he feels, who knows?
Only him, only him knows
Meanwhile in the mews
Kids at play review their news
They really feel fine
They see there’s no change in time
They feel what they need
And only their needs they feed
How do ladies feel
When they live their life in real?
Either right or wrong
They are fighting to be strong
And they look so proud
As they stand above the crowd
What they feel, who knows?
A girl, only a girl knows
Meanwhile in the mews
A poet dreams of his muse
He really feels fine
He sees there’s no change in time
He feels what he needs
And only his needs he feeds
