A Meaningful Year

A Meaningful Year

I recently shared my reflections on my past year as CEO of WorkFusion with our employees. However, I’d also like to share my thoughts more broadly on how meaningful this year has been, what I’ve learned and all that we’ve accomplished.?

From the moment I joined the company, I knew there was so much value to unlock. During my first three months, I spoke to 60+ customers. I heard a resounding general sense of excitement about how our customers use our software and how much money we save them. During those conversations, I realized how big the opportunity was if we could truly package up the value that they're receiving and deliver that to more customers and make it easier for them to adopt our technology.

The Birth of Digital Workers

After speaking with our customers and truly understanding how they used our technology, its value, and its untapped potential, I started working closely with our CTO and CMO to package our technology in a way that was easier to understand, faster to deploy and adopt, could address real business challenges and deliver exceptional ROI.

From that, our Digital Workers were born.

Today, organizations around the globe are navigating macroeconomic storms stemming from the pandemic, the Great Resignation, a war, and now a looming recession. All of this has led to a global talent shortage.

A Digital Worker helps solve this talent dilemma. They are highly skilled AI-enabled digital employees that work alongside real-world colleagues to reduce manual work, enhance quality, increase speed, save money, support compliance and expand the overall capacity of the team.

On February 2, 2022,we launched our first six Digital Workers who are primarily focused on the banking, financial services and insurance sectors augmenting teams in functions like anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, customer onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC), underwriting, and customer service.

That really set the stage for everything else that we're doing as a company.?

Always Put Your People First

Of course, on February 24th, the Russia/Ukraine war began. We had many employees based in Belarus and Ukraine. We went deep on our people.

In challenging times, I firmly believe you take care of your people first. And we went to work to do just that. We moved families -- husbands, wives, kids, parents -- to get them to safer areas. We invested a ton of time, energy, money, and resources to make sure our employees and their families were safe.

At the end of the day, we took care of our people. By doing that, we also took care of our customers, and we never missed a beat.

?

Rebuilding and Growth

After moving our employees to safety, we started to recast our global footprint. We grew our locations in New York, Ireland, Poland and India. To date, we've added almost 100 new employees in those locations with even more plans for growth in the future.

We’ve now set ourselves up for continued and substantial growth.

?

It’s All About Customer Success

Even with the news of an impending recession upon us, our Digital Workers are helping companies prepare. The biggest cost of running a company is employees. And our Digital Workers are far less costly than traditional employees, particularly in the KYC/sanctions space.

And for us now, we are doing our part to make sure that we're working with our customers to unlock the most amount of value using our software. And at the end of the day, it's ?comes down to customer success. We are laser-focused ?on ensuring that WorkFusion is a critical and relevant part of our customers’ ?overall talent strategy.

?

Thank you, WorkFusion

I’d be remiss if I didn’t say a big thank you to all our employees and customers around the world.

For me, personally, you all welcomed me. Welcomed my other new leaders that I brought on board with me. And you've made me feel part of this WorkFusion family from the very beginning.

I've learned a ton this year about our company, about our ambitions, and what we can do together. And I couldn't have done that without all of you.

I'm very excited about our future . I have seen what the WorkFusion family can do during tough times and I am excited to see what the future holds!

?

Thanks,

Adam??

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story Adam Famularo. I can only associate from the perspective that our firm is also developing 'digital worker' persona, but for the supply chain environment. I definitely sympathize with your Ukraine & Belarus located human resources & wish them all success in their new locations. Congratulations.
