My parents died recently (father in February 2022 and mother in March 2023).

I began to think of my values and purpose in life.???

Several thoughts came to mind when my parents died like: What’s to become of me? Why am I here? I’m going to do great things, but what exactly are these “great things”?

With gratitude, I acknowledge my friend Massimiliano Rabbi for the inspiration to write this poem today.

The Meaning of My Life (A Simple Poem)???

The meaning of my life currently

is wanting to be

the best friend, colleague, mentor, etc. that I can be

all the while living according to my values

and doing what’s right by me

?

Good morning, Jamie. Thank you for sharing. A very simple poem from the heart, very well said! Keep exploring and challenging yourself. My motto of life, or my values, which I wrote down almost 4 decades ago and still live by is.... Be true to yourself. Be true to your loved ones. Do what you have to do. Enjoy life.
