MealForTwo is a lifesaving project for many vulnerable individuals and children living in difficult situations.

The Gondwana Care Trust, and with it the MealForTwo Programme, was founded in 2017 and has since inception supported thousands of Namibians with a warm meal. The goal of MealForTwo is for every dinner sold at a Gondwana lodge, an individual in Namibia will receive a balanced meal.??

The great success of the MealForTwo project over the past 18 months has encouraged the Capricorn Foundation to entrust the funding to the Gondwana Care Trust for 2022. In 2021 alone, the MealForTwo project provided over 250 000 meals to families and communities across the country (an average of 8 380 meals per day). The goal for 2022 is to provide even more Namibians with a daily hot meal. Thank you to all our partners for their support and in particular the Capricorn Foundation for their renewal of their sponsorship for 2022. We cannot do it alone, thank you to all our partners to make this project a reality.

The Gondwana Care Trust will deliver whenever they can and wherever their reach is able to deliver.?

/Khomxadare Community Center and Kindergarten received some groceries – Situated about 60km outside Karibib, Eldina cares for about 135 kids and 40 elderly people. The center provides a meal 4 times a week.

Thank you Kaleidoscope for your constant support. Lidar foundation’s teen and young mothers were spoiled with some hygienic products and also beauty products.??

Masks and other goods were also distributed at the center.

LIGHT OF HOPE – Okahandja

Light Of Hope assists vulnerable children living in the Okahandja district. Most children live in the streets and counseling as medical care is provided for the children at the center. Second-hand clothing is always needed as well as any hygienic products please, so that the children and teens can de given soaps, body cream and hygienic towels for the girls. These are basic needs that cannot be fulfilled by the children so any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Natasha Kindergarten

Natasha Kindergarten is a beneficiary of MealForTwo.

?Located in the Katutura district, Natasha cares for several children and provides a meal for the children in her area as well.?

During a recent visit, Natasha received some educational materials to assist her with her class thanks to Ms Noirfalise. Natasha Kindergarten also received an ESB Stove to save on wood and to prepare the morning porridge.

Some of the educational material can be purchased at Learning Nation Shop, located in Walvis Bay. Toys, books, and other educational goods can be donated into the Donation Back-to-School Christmas Bag Box which is located in the shop.

We must start with the preparation for the Back-to-School Bags for 2022. Please sponsor a child or a school with a Back-to-School Christmas bag – lets fill the bags with more books and educational material. With every donation, we can make a difference in a childs educational future.

Taking into consideration the overall cost’s increase of goods in Namibia, our Back-to-School Christmas bag price has been changed to N$250.00 per bag in 2022 so that we can purchase the minimum items to fill the bags with, such as a stationery kit and hopefully a toy or any other product for the child/learner to use, especially hygienic products for the teens.?

Please help us make a difference at the end of this year by contributing a bag with educational goods.
