Me time and selfcare is not selfish
In this busy world we are made to feel guilty for taking that time to focus upon our own needs!
We do not need to sit crossed legged in the Lotus postision to enjoy time alone although meditation will aid us in finding peace and tranquility as we release the negative thoughts from our minds.
Meditation can be done alone or in groups, it can take place whilst washing the dishes or just sitting and focusing upon your breath it can be anything from a few minutes to an hour or so!
When I was at school many moons ago teachers often got frustrated as children slipped into day dreams instead of listening to their lesson and would through the board rubber or a screwed up paper at them to 'wake them up', those children were meditating in its raw sense!

Own your time, forget about those teachings that said to put everyone above your own needs unless of course you want to be subservient and not truly helpful to others!
We are all here to serve, to teach and to learn and the greatest lesson is that of selfcare to give yourself a good day to stoke the fire within to repair and nurture your soul before becoming the vehicle to take it to heal and aid others.
