April has ‘CAMARADERIE’

Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) 's ‘CAMARADERIE’ Embracing Change event took place From June 3-5, 2024, at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta, and once again we attended to represent the best of MCE and leadership training.?

Ask April about the Big Yellow Jeep

MCE CEO April Morganti. MPA, BA, Dip Adult Ed found the perfect balance of business and pleasure in the beautiful Banff, intending to keep on top of municipal administration across Canada. Some of our municipal clients were in attendance alongside others who offered unique perspectives on municipal administration. We love the strength, resilience, and innovation, that resides in many of our community partners.

One takeaway that stood out amongst many on Leadership and Empowerment:

"As a leader, especially a senior leader of leaders, your primary focus should be on leadership. It’s about being of service to our busy Directors and helping our managers effectively delegate tasks to avoid long hours. Empowering individuals throughout the organization in a systematic manner, seeking continuous feedback, and reflecting on personal performance are vital aspects of effective leadership.”

Sue is often found in deep thought.

GridSmartCity is a consortium of 36 partner organizations that have entrusted us with the responsibility of developing emerging and senior leaders, in-line with their focus on advancing academic collaboration.

In Sue Buckley, CHRL 's own words:

“Who would have thought that back in 2017, when I reached out to Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro, now Enova Power, about their interest in leadership training, that it would grow into this amazing partnership with GridSmartCityCooperative (GSCC), and their 16 Local Distribution Companies who provide electricity across Ontario. Thanks to GSCC and their HR Committee for the opportunity to partner on this exciting leadership initiative, and for entrusting MCE to develop your leaders.?It’s truly a privilege to work with a team who are passionate about the training and development of their people.“
