More than 600 McDonald’s restaurants in Southern California are rolling out an experimental custom menu today aimed at luring diners who’ve fled the beleaguered chain for higher quality rivals.
The Taste Crafted menu allows customers to build their own sandwich by choosing from a menu of pre-selected ingredients. The options include choice of protein (chicken or beef), bun type (sesame seed, potato roll or artisan roll) and bundled toppings such as “Buffalo Bacon."
Also, SoCal restaurants are adding table service. No more waiting for your order.
Is McDonald's turning into a fast-casual cafe? Thoughts?
