What’s your 2-sentence autobiography??

I’m a recent graduate of Haverford College where I studied physics/computer science and played baseball. I enjoy playing golf, learning to cook (highly recommend “Chef’s Recipe Book” for those trying to learn), and exploring the Bay area.

What is your background prior to working for Monte Carlo?:

Prior to Monte Carlo, I worked at Gainsight on a go-to-market team where the goal was to build out and target specific verticals. I had an amazing mentor there who helped me realize I wanted to play a role in building out an early go-to-market function and be customer facing.?

Why did you choose to work for Monte Carlo?:

It really came down to two reasons. Early on it was very clear that I’d be able to work with and learn from one of the best leadership teams in the industry. Secondly, the sales development team was just starting to form so it was a tremendous opportunity to build the foundation of a key GTM function.

What do you appreciate most about working for Monte Carlo?:?

The people and the mission! Everyone here has a great combination of intelligence and charisma which allows us to have fun while we strive for ambitious goals.?

What are you passionate about outside of working for Monte Carlo?:

Living in San Francisco has been awesome, as I’m really enjoying exploring in and around the city. Most weekends, I’m playing golf or going on hikes in the East Bay.?

How did you get interested in your field of work?:

While working at Gainsight, I realized I wanted to be in a role that would expose me to all different parts of a business, and see how each function works together. I also wanted to learn how markets and customers think which ultimately lead me to a sales role.

If you could describe yourself with one word, what would it be and why?:

Curious! I really like to understand the “why” and “how” behind things. I love physics because I want to understand how the world works.?

One of our company values is “beat the odds”. What does “beat the odds” mean to you?

I think of beating the odds as having grit and being able to get scrappy. Particularly in a sales role, there are times where your forecast looks bleak and you have to double down, get scrappy and beat the odds.

If you could pause your life for just one moment, what moment would that be and why?

Probably when I first moved to San Francisco. Everything was brand new and there was so much to explore.?

How do you recharge??

Golf! I’m also a super competitive person and being out on a course, trying to go low, is oddly therapeutic for me.
